Good morning, my dear readers. Sorry I'm just now getting a post up. I've been up ever since around 8:00 a.m., and I've been being a good follower and reading some of your blogs. I've eaten breakfast, which consisted of three tacos and my morning "coffee," a can of Busch beer. Hey, I'm sure I'm not the only one who drinks beer for morning coffee, so don't start nothing with me. It will probably be one of two cans of beer I have today. Who knows what the day will bring and I just might need one or two more. Don't get me wrong, I am in no way an alcoholic, which I very well could be, seeing that I spent my developmental months inside my mother's womb floating around, perhaps in some gin and juice. I'm just a woman who likes to have herself a beer in the morning from time to time, especially if there's one left over from the night before.
Anyway, I've been sitting here reading some of your blogs and leaving comments. I am officially a blogging junkie, for sure. It's okay though, because I love it. Not only do I get to see what's going on in other blogger mom's lives, I get to encourage them along the way. I truly am grateful for this outlet as I've been a participant on network sites before, but this is somehow different. We, women, are opening our worlds up to complete strangers who might judge us negatively, but for the most part, it's been all positive. No one said mothers are perfect, but for those of us who are comfortable with our lives and don't mind sharing in order to get through another day, the world of blogging has been a godsend. Most people who are still working out "there" say that they can't imagine sitting at home all day, doing nothing. Who's doing nothing? The blogging world is a world full of possibilities and there's plenty to do in it. Now that I'm a part of it, I can't imagine spending my time any other way. Well, I just wanted to let you know that I am really feeling this blogging thing, once again, and will make sure I keep you interested in coming back. Until next time..."Live your life by loving yourself."
A glimpse of the world according to me. Be warned, being exposed to my way of thinking just might give you a new perspective on life.

Super Bowl Sunday
Today is Super Bowl Sunday. Guys and girls around the country will be glued to the tube, despite their favorite team not fortunate enough to make it. Honestly, I like watching football, but could really care less who makes it to the Super Bowl. In my opinion, may the best team win. This year, I'll have to favor the Pittsburgh Steelers as they've been coined the underdogs. They've won plenty of Super Bowl rings, but this year, they're considered the underdogs. I can identify with underdogs. Despite their success over the years, how can they now be considered the underdogs? I've had many successes over the years. Would consider myself blessed beyond measure, but still I could be considered an underdog. The definition of underdog is one who is expected to lose a competition or struggle or is at a disadvantage. Yep, that's me, at a disadvantage.
I've definitely been struggling for a while now. Making sacrifices over the years for the good of the family and second guessing if I made the right decisions along the way, I continue to make small strides towards my goal of continuing to be a successful mother, entrepreneur and writer. There has to be an end to this competition of me against the unrelentless world. It's like, I'm saying to myself, "I know I can, I know I can, I know I can," but the world is saying, "No you won't, no you won't, no you won't." But I will because I'm not going to give up. Each day I wake up with the thought that this could be the day that it all comes together for me. That day has to come eventually. Am I so different from all the other successful people who worked hard to get to where they could actually say, "I made it?" It is said that success is when preparation meets opportunity, well Lord knows I've been preparing for the longest time, so eventually opportunity is going to knock on my door and my preparation is going to open it and say, "Welcome, I've been waiting for you to come." And together my preparation and opportunity will walk out the door, hand in hand, as my success.
Not sure how I started off talking about Super Bowl Sunday and ended up talking about my success, but if you've read any of my other blogs, I've been known to go off topic. But even in my off-topicness, hopefully I was able to say something that encourages you, my reader, to keep striving for your goals. Never give up, no matter how rough and tough it gets out there. If the world has classified you as an underdog, just remember that just because you're an underdog does not mean you can't or won't win. It just means that you're expected to lose because of all the disadvantages you may have. But even in disadvantages, there is the word advantages and you are capable of DISmissing the dis in advantages. Until next time..."Live your life by loving yourself."

Hello Sistas
Hey ladies, I've finally started this blog with the purpose of inspiring and motivating, you, my sistas. It has always been my sincere desire to produce quality materials that will leave my readers with a sense of new found purpose and awareness.
What credentials do I have, you might be asking yourself? Well, the only credentials that I possess at this time are the ones that life has graciously bestowed upon me, as I've weathered some of life's testiest trials and lived to tell about them.
I want to offer inspiration by sharing my life experiences with you, while bringing you helpful tips that I have learned along the way. Some things you've probably already heard but, now with a fresh voice, you might be able to "get it."
I'm not sure how this blog is going to end up, but I do know that the important thing is...I've started it and therefore there are many, many possibilities. Since this is the first post, I ask that you bare with me as I nurture this "baby" project into a budding grown-up site. Please keep in mind that this blog is not just for my voice. Your voice, combined with my voice, creates, My Sista's Voice.
